I am attemtive mother and I am afraid that my son can fall under bad influence and start smoking or taking drugs. How can I prevent this??
ooh, I understand you! My son came from college as a heavy smoker, but I believe it depends on a person. Now he is vaping mostly and I like it too! He has read some articles about nicotine harm like this

So, don’t worry to much!
I think the reality is that, at this point, it’s out of our hands.
We spend those first 18 years using every opportunity to teach the important lessons.
Then, I think we have to say a prayer (or a lot of prayers), cross our fingers, and hope that the lessons we’ve taught won’t fall on deaf ears.
We read so many stories of one kid out of an otherwise incredibly successful, well rounded family, who for some reason makes the wrong choices. I don’t think there’s any way we can prevent their exercise of free will, beyond driving home those lessons for those first 18 years.
That, and always being there for them. Our kids need to know that, while we don’t always love their choices, we do love them.
No one ever said that parenting was for the weak of heart!!
