Bad(ish) 1st SAT, Good 2nd SAT. How will Penn see me?

So I got a 2110 on my first SAT and a 2330 on my second SAT. I think that the M&T program is a great fit for me, but I’m wondering if my 2110 is going to significantly impact my chances negatively or if my second SAT will completely overshadow my first SAT.

In my opinion, the 2330 shows what I am actually capable of and should completely trump the 2110, but I understand from an admissions officer’s point of view how the first SAT could raise some red flags.

What do you think?

It’s fine. My son got a 2090 in sophomore year and a 2230 in junior year and he got in.

I took the SAT a total of four times, going from an 1860 to a 2330, and I got in this year (didn’t apply to M&T though). I don’t think your 1st score will affect their decision.

I think Penn superscores. It will only see your highest from each section, and will disregard the rest

They see all of your testing history @ShaunakK98

Most colleges do ask for it. But from what Ive heard they care only about your best ones

Most colleges let you choose what you send. Penn requires you to send all test scores.

Kids get in with sub-2000s sometimes (admittedly a very small number). Don’t sweat it, your initial score is fine and your second score shows that you are obviously better than that 2110
