Does Upenn only see your best score from each section? Im confident if I take again I can get 800 math and writing, though my critical may not be so high...but Wharton wouldn't see this right?

no guarantees man. and yes, they will see all the scores. superscoring does not mean that they won't see your scores.. it just means that they will only "consider" your best scores. :)

In that score sheet they sent you'll see "X % of people with a 2340 did better the second time around". And it's a REALLY low number. Don't bother retaking. A 2340 puts you in the running for ANY school.

i hardly think a 2340 is going to kill you, past a certain point they actually stop focusing on your score and care what you have done with yourself during the past 4 years

I've heard though that colleges don't like it if you don't retake the SAT for any score below 2400, saying "we only want people who strive to improve". I've also heard they reject people who get 2300+ and retake saying that they "don't want perfectionists". Comments?

Definitely not true. Because getting a few extra points on the SAT doesn't really mean you "improved" most of the time it meant you got luckier. But it's NOT because they don't want perfectionists either!! Most of the time they just think that it's a better use of your time if you do something worthiwile like volunteering, clubs, etc. However, I don't think it'll necesarily hurt you to retake a high but not perfect SAT score. It just won't help much either and might even hurt you since you'll be taking away that time with which you can do something better.
