Hey, all throughout high school I've been volunteering in different ways to help out the community. I've gone to other states to help certain charity gruops and things like that. I'm a junior and am the president of a community service group. However, next year, because I am attending a junior college under a special program, I won't be president of the club anymore. Lately, more of my community service has been slipping away and I've been picking up a lot more filmmaking. I've directed various things and will probably do more things. As a director, it looks great to have a portfolio of semi-prof work, but what I'm wondering is if it will look badly for colleges because my EC's are divided, especially since it looks like I've dropped helping the community for films. Will diving my EC's between filmmaking and community service break the flow of my apps?

We sound similar. I'm huge on filmmaking, and it's heavier than my community work, which is still pretty heavy.

I don't think it'll show up badly on your app. I think that if you have a true talent for film and a great passion for it, it should show through your app. It shows that you're specialized in something and creative.
