Alright so I'm a junior. My GPA is going up (I decided to fail freshman year). I am going to be in honors classes next semester. I got a 3.0 GPA last year and will have between a 3.5 and 4.0 GPA this year and will be in honors and AP next year and am shooting for a 3.75-4.0 next year. So if I keep kicking butt in these classes I should be in good shape GPA wise. I am also doing dual enrollment next semester and all next year.

I have 120 volunteer hours at the local medical center.

Enter PSAT's. 1350/2400. Decent. Not great. I was hoping for a 1700 like everyone else.

Heres the deal. I screwed up. I am NOT STUPID. Believe it or not, I consider myself to be very intelligent and a gifted writer. I got a 60 on the writing part of the PSAT without even trying. Critical reading I did alright but the Math...oh god.

I am not very good in math.

I really want to score a 1900 on this thing. My GPA is not anything to brag about so I need to score high on the SAT.

I'll give you an example. My cousin.

Stats:

1500/2400 SAT I
3.4 GPA
Member of 2 Clubs one year
Played 2 Sports one year
50 Volunteer hours

He got into University of Kentucky (A SCHOOL I WOULD LOVE TO GET INTO) early admission. He got a scholarship too.

He basically told me even if I got a 1500 on the SAT's I would be good but I don't know...I'm very skeptical.

I can definitely beat him SAT wise. Probably GPA wise. Have double his volunteer hours.

I am just not involved. Which he says is important.

Anyway, this is just a bit of a background.

Bottom line: I really need like a step by step plan on how to murder the SAT I. I can do it I just need to know EXACTLY HOW TO DO IT.

Is there a combination of prep books you recommend for each section?

Seriously, don't just say "Oh, pick up Barrons and study it. I have the Princeton review and it sucks...badly.

Help me out PLEASE.
