Bad SAT reading scores

I’d like to apply to MIT regular action (I’m an international student) and took the SAT this morning but I think I messed up the reading section (I was very nervous and ended up running out of time). Otherwise, the rest of the test went very well.
In my country (France), I have excellent grades in math, physics and English (ranked 1st) and am taking the Option Internationale au Baccalauréat which means that I am bilingual in English and that language should not be a problem if I were to attend MIT. I also have an excellent recommendation letter from my English teacher who had me for three years in his class.

I know that it’s too late to retake the SAT and I can’t take the toefl since it’s way too expensive… What will MIT think if I messed up the reading section of the SAT? Do I even have a chance of getting in?

Here’s the link to MIT’s stats: https://mitadmissions.org/apply/process/stats/

MIT admission is a long shot for everyone. Even more so for international applicants. Look at the table for the acceptances and distribution of scores. Generally students admitted with lower scores have some kind hook - parents donated a building, recruited athlete type hooks.

@momofsenior1 your comment does not belong on an MIT forum. Your comment may be true for Ivy league schools, but it is absolutely false when it comes to MIT.
