Bad SAT Subject II Score ... should i report?

So I took the June SAT II in Chemistry and I got 630.
I’m looking to apply to MIT in the fall and I’m debating whether or not to submit this subject test score.

My other option is to submit my SAT II Bio (680). Math, compared to science, is really my strong suit (800 SAT II Math II, 800 SAT subscore, 5 AP Calc AB); math would also be my possible major.

I have passing AP tests in both Chem and Bio (3 and 4 respectively), so I do somewhat understand the material. Also, if it makes a difference, I just got back from MITs Women’s Technology Program.

What I’m trying to decide is how much these low sat subject science tests will weigh down my application. I’m not going to retake any of the subject tests, mainly because I don’t have enough time to study up before school starts. I will need to send one of the scores in my application, however. Should I stick with bio and leave a gap with chem? Thoughts?

Looking at MIT’s testing requirements and midrange SAT scores, you should submit the bio since it is the higher score. Besides, according to the school, it’s not just about the numbers and I’m sure they’ll be happy with that 800 math sub-score. Good luck on your applications!

Any chance you would do better the second time?
