I have applied to YPGtown. I took the Spanish SAT II w/o listening, and scored a 540. My previous scores have been:

USH: 770
Lit: 750
Math II: 630

Will the language test score hurt me? I am just now finishing my third year of Spanish and am not a native speaker.

Thanks!!

Yes

You shouldn't send that score in. Colleges only require 3. No offense, but a 540 is incredibly low with most applicants to YP (I don't know about Georgetown) scoring 780+ on all their SAT2s

^Scores just came in, and it looks like the scores were processed 2/10/09. Do you know how I can change score recipients? Or is it too late?

I could use some help here....!!!! Am I stuck with my score?

My suggestion would be to retake Spanish II but do better. I had the same dilemma, I scored 500 on Literature with three other 700 scores on other subjects, so the only thing pulling me down was Literature, but I got it to a 650 so I didn't have to put it on my application but colleges could see that I at least improved. What I mean by colleges seeing the score is that colleges see all SAT II and SAT I scores anyway when the report comes. Also, I think 650 is a reasonable score to shoot for if your going to retake Spanish II (correct me if I'm wrong someone but I think 650 is one of those thresholds).

It's also hard to get in the high percentages due to the native speakers who take it. I scored an 800 and only got in the 92nd percentile.

^OK...thanks...but I'm a senior. That was my last SAT. Oh well.
