If you want to know what I'm in for Carnegie, I'm into Tepper School of Business and the school of Humanities and Social Sciences.

congats on carnegie sarah! I applied to penn and got deferred as well! Jemima, did you call Cornell to confirm about last minute decisions? Thanks!

man i wish my nervousness didn't kick so early then i could be freakin out with all of u.

i also applied ed to wharton and got deferred. and now i'm afraid cornell has rejected me cuz i haven't gotten anything yet, even though the hotel school is rolling admissions. i should have applied as an econ major to letters and science so that my lack of hospitality experience wouldn't count against me. bleh, too late for that now.

i was going to apply to wharton but that application was outrageous. i will probably go to graduate school there.

haha i guess we all applied ed to wharton... that school made some screwed up decisions this year.

anyway, yeah, i contacted the office to obtain their answer regarding their decisions. it's still coming. so hang in there.

and sarah, congrats on carnegie. im away from home and don't have my ID number, so there is no way i can find out for another several days. i too applied to tepper.

my nervousness kicked out quite eeaarrllyy tooo ... i am here frantically waitin.. im not my usual self
im pickin a fight with anyone who tells me to calm down!
arrghhhhh

Well, Carnegie still didn't put decisions online, so your ID number wouldn't help you much Jemima. I hope when you get home you get an "Official Fat Letter." It's the cutest thing ever. I kind of want to go to Carnegie just because they're cute enough to send my acceptance in a package called the "Official Fat Letter."

haha, i liked their colorful stickers to be used on mailing. but then, about 4 weeks ago, cmu sent me a copy of the 2005 application (the one that was due past january), so i dont know what that means. im hoping they know that i actually applied already. no matter what happens though, i wouldn't go there. i have an excellent backup school that already accepted me.

Nice! What school?

Oxford in the UK.

That's AWESOME. I really want to go to Oxford but missed their deadline.

Wait, how do we view our status online?

you should've gotten an email about setting up the account online.

They never sent me one, is that bad?

I remeber reading in this forum that several of CCers didn't receive the information. So, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Did they at least confirm that they received your application?

Jemima...Oxford as back-up school???
hmm...u obviously dont know that Oxford's the 5th best school in THE world!!!
the reason i threw Cambridge's acceptance in the bin is bec its supposed to be a racist's paradise and bec Cornell's better for engn...but ur american and Oxfords probably amng the best for business

I don't think they ever sent me a "we got your application" because I just checked my emails. I send in all my materials on time and I did get an interview, so I guess they had all my stuff or else they would have contacted me?

actually, goodnight, they do.
they send u an e-mail giving u a new account and showing their utmost gratification on having become richer by $70.
But this year due to an overwhelmingly large number of applicants, they have missed a lot of students.

Arjun, I am not American... but anyway, I am very relieved to have Oxford as my "backup"... it just accepted me before a lot of other places. I also have McGill (aka "harvard of canada") on my side, so I wouldn't be too bummed if I don't get into the Hotel School. Good luck with yours.
