Bad sophomore grades?

I have had a great freshmen year(fairly easy), and it looks like I will be getting only one B in my Junior year. However, I truly messed up my sophomore year (Nearly all Bs). Part of this was due to lack of interest in school and an undecided major. I truly did not know what I wanted to do and I was also distracted by a girl throughout the whole year. While I know and understand this situation is pathetic and many have to deal with the loss of family members or medical issues, would it be viable to explain this to the admission committee next year when I am on my college application process? While my situation is frowned upon, will it perhaps shed SOME light on my inconsistency. I have taken 4 AP classes which is very high for my school and will continue to take the most rigorous courses into my senior year. Any opinions.

Undecided major? What does that mean? Most people change their major even in college.

“would it be viable to explain this to the admission committee next year when I am on my college application process?”

If all you really have to say is “I lacked motivation and was obsessed with a girl” then it would be better off if you said nothing.

Honestly you don’t have a valid reason for the grade drop. Depending how much damage the year did to your GPA you will have to potentially eliminate schools from your list.
