Bad Sophomore year grades

Hi everyone!! I’m a sophomore and I go to a very small school in the Midwest. I am an international student. My freshman year GPA was 3.6 UW (my school doesn’t offer AP or Honors). My current sophomore year GPA is around 2.9 UW (I’m guess because we don’t get our GPAs until the end of the school year). My grades are very bad, and I am super stressed. The colleges I am looking at right now are Northwestern, Brown, Middlebury, Tufts, and USC.

Do you think I will have a chance in any of these colleges if I do well my junior year and the second semester of my sophomore year? Thanks.

These universities are VERY competitive and there are also thousands of very qualified applicants applying to these universities. Unless you pick up some very unique ECs and write an extremely compelling essay, I think that these schools will be a long shot, objectively.
