soo.. let's be honest.. there must be some downsides. could anyone post some objective, fair, true and NEGATIVE things about this otherwise wonderful place? Just got into ERC; visiting wednesday. seriously considering UCSD over UCLA and Cal - I just want a more complete picture.

Parking. But that’s also bad at UCLA.

I think the dining hall food is extremely overpriced… but you’ll find that and any college.

The campus is huuuuge and thus when I lived in ERC it took me 20 minutes to walk to my farthest classes. And on super hot/rainy days that is not fun.

Dining hall food is terrible compared to UCLA. The social scene is definitely less prominent than UCLA as well. Also, sports are less popular (less school spirit).

people complaining about how they didn’t get into Cal or UCLA. I got into Cal, didn’t apply to LA, but came here, so I constantly heard people griping. Usually that ends after first quarter, though.

Nobody goes to the sporting events. NOBODY goes to the sporting events.

not even water polo and ultimate frisbee? i LOVE those two sports. and ive heard the water polo team there is hella good!

side note… WILL I BE MADE FUN OF FOR SAYING HELLA? :(

lol I say hella too, Northern California yeee

^ youll kinda just stop using it imo

lol If you’re referring to me, I doubt it, I’ve actually lived away from Northern California for more than half of my life but I still say it every once in a while, just in the blood haha

Actually, I’m from SoCal and have started using the word “hella” since I got here.

hella characters

Thing things about UCSD:
- “hella”

the ****ing dorm toilet paper is rough as hell.

“the ****ing dorm toilet paper is rough as hell”
Arggh, Anything else I need to know about the dorms?

There’s no air conditioning but since its right next to the ocean there usually is no need for one.

Do none of the colleges’ dorms have A/C? I visited UCSD yesterday and I visited my friend’s dorm and it was super hot (even with the windows open & a fan going)!

^Warren’s do.

Yeah, I’m in the sixth apartments, and I never have a problem with heat. I think Revelle and Marshall dorms sometimes do have that problem.
