Bad to Drop AP US?

Hi,
I'm currently a high school junior enrolled in a dual enrollment program. In fall quarter, I thought I had too much free time so I decided to take an AP US History course from UCCP. I thought it would be good because I'd be able to get my US history credit out of the way (it's a graduation requirement) and it would give me something else to do.

Now, my situation has changed and I might be getting a GED instead of a high school degree because it's pretty much impossible to schedule all of the graduation requirements with my college classes next year. I am planning to take the AP US History test and SAT 2 because the college that I am transferring to awards credit for the tests.

The AP US history class is not on my transcript, so technically I don't think colleges would see that I dropped it, but I still don't know if it's the best idea. I don't want to seem like a slacker, but really I'm just horrible with words and memorization. I'm one of the numerous kids in this country diagnosed with ADD and I get really distracted when reading. In Physics and Math, or other subjects I'm interested in I have no problem concentrating, but it's just hard for me to keep focused on the subject I'm reading. I feel like this course is just too much busy work and that I could use the time to study more for the classes that appear on my transcript. I do think I would continue to self-study US history if I dropped the course, but I wouldn't have to worry about all the busy work...

Thanks in advance :)
