Bad to not take a math senior year? special circumstance

Right now as Junior, I face a fork in the road, either take math or don't.
Freshman year I took Geometry, Sophomore- Hon. Advanced Algebra, Junior- AP Calculus AB and AP Stats
The only math left is AP Calculus BC, which is the toughest and highest course my school offers.
I've already fulfilled the A-G requirements in California to graduate high school.
Teachers tell me that I should take this course, but honestly I'm not doing too well in Calc AB. (Averaging B's in the class but realistically I feel like I'm in the C range if I were to grade myself).

Does this impact my potential college admissions in any way if I choose to not take it?
I feel like it's not worth it to take a hard class and get a bad grade that may in the end, end up hurting you more than it will help you getting into colleges.

Not taking a math class senior year does negatively effect you for college admission purposes. In addition, you didn’t present any special circumstances here, so I don’t know why that is in your title. Calc BC includes part of AB, so part of it would be review for you.

It would be negative. Maybe you could ask your guidance counselor if you could take a dual enrollment credit as an alternative to BC.

Take BC it is a lot easier if you have taken AB and will review the material in AB, so even if you don’t get it now, you’ll get it the second time.
