Bain & Co. wants applicants to list their SAT scores on their resume, broken down by verbal and math.

my SAT score is decent (average for incoming freshmen in my college, good enough for me to qualify to teach at kaplan, but definitely not ivy standards) ... how much would this affect my chances of landing a management consulting internship?

(i also don't believe my SAT scores are reflective of what i could do NOW if i re-tested; i feel much more confident now having tutored several high schoolers on the SAT)

Where are you in school? My brother, a recent hire, says they only ask for SAT scores at schools they really don't hire from. traditionally. He was not asked last year.

i'm at UCLA. i went to the bain presentation today. they want SAT scores broken down and listed on the resume. but it seems like the case interview is still the major factor.

hmm... well i feel like they do regularly hire from UCLA, seeing how the presenter and about 4 others at the presentation were UCLA alumni, and UCLA is also listed on their website for schools they hire from.

on the flip side, can having a decent SAT score help you? i put my SAT score on my resume even for companies that don't ask (i had 780 math, 750 verbal). it's not top-notch but it's relatively high for my school (i'm also at UCLA)

How is a 1530 not top-notch? I mean yeah theres always that extra 70 points but I mean come on...Although I wouldn't mind them checking my score, I don't see the point and am very against the SATs. Actually wrote a paper why its worthless. lol but a month later I took the SAT's again. I guess it was a good way to complain. good luck
