Just wondering how all the other seniors balance time for college app essays, SAT(1 and 2's), amidst school/activities etc.

I've been trying to do 1 hr of SAT 1, 1 hr of SAT 2, and 1-2hrs on the SAT daily but that seems to be too much work for one day and I get nothing done. I'll probably just do 1hr of SAT everyday and alternate what subject I study, and do 1hr on the essays. What is everyone else doing?

Just try to take things one at a time, because the moment you overwhelm yourself you will be playing catch up for quite a while. So just look at each day independently and realize what needs to be done that day, and just carry on.

I'm having the same problem...I wake up really early in the morning to swim, go to school, have meetings for student government during lunch, debate practice after school, straight to work at a restaurant, home to do homework for 6 IB classes (I'm IB Diploma), SATII practice when I can manage to stay awake, go to bed at 1 or 2, repeat.

Senior year is NOT as fun or easy as it is supposed to be. But I guess spring semester maybe we can slack off at least a LITTLE bit (not enough to get acceptances rescinded, obviously).

I would recommend setting aside 3 or 4 hours on Saturday mornings for SAT practice and/or college applications. I know it's tempting to sleep in, but I think that if you wake up at 8 and go to a coffee shop or Barnes & Noble and just sit down and do work in an environment other than your home you'll get a lot done.
