Balancing Social and Academic life...WHY?

Trust me man, no matter you won't get very if you don't know how to behave in social situations. You seem to already be a smart guy with a great work ethic, so I suggest you ease up on academics a little and work on developing social skills.

Socializing is a way to let the brain chill so you don't go crazy working 24/7 and burn out. You may have a higher tolerance then me, but harcore studying/academics is not good for you. You need to be both physically and mentally fit to perform, that's why you need to get outside.

I agree mostly with the others. If you focus solely on academics, you'll miss out socially, and once you graduate you'll need those social skills. Also, I know I'd go crazy if I focused only on academics. I have such a hard time studying that I couldn't do it for a prolonged period of time. I hand out with my friends a lot and am still a straight A student.

Just try it, maybe for a week. If it doesn't work out, then fine, but at least you tried. Being well educated is a great thing, but at the same time so is being well-rounded. There's more to life than academics.
