Bama Honors Program

Does anyone know much about it? Especially the Computer-Based one, and the International Program.

And Bama in general, what can you tell me about it?

I’m a silly northerner who doesn’t know much about these SEC schools, but the package they offer for National Merit is crazy awesome, and these programs sound pretty cool at first glance.

i am thinking about applying to bama and from the great state lol, and when i visited, i liked the campus.. lots of good parties, nice people, tuscaloosa's atmosphere. for the honors college, i know that if you have a 28 ACT you are in. tons of my friends are in the honors college, and they claim it is the "best decision" they've ever made. they rave about the class sizes and close relationship with their professors. we come from a generally small school, so going to a big college like alabama can be really overhelming so the honors college is like going to a small college within a huge one. i'm not sure how the programs are for the honors college, but they seem pretty good.. you should go visit!

Contact the UA admission person for your area and let them know of your interests. I think you need to apply by Dec 1 for scholarship consideration.

DSC, you might want to PM jlauer95 or search her post here at CC. She has a S in Alabama's Computer based Honor Program and she has been very helpful with information.

Sounds like a pretty sweet honors program.

And done and done for posts 3 and 4.

Would still like to hear anything anyone has to add.

DSC, I am an OOS student who is an upperclassmen in the Computer-Based Honors Program. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Bump!

I'd alo be very interested in learning more about it. Thanks
