<p>My band didn't have any flags or anything...only twirlers :( (I twirled for two years back in 3rd/4th grade and hated it). I always thought it would have been fun to be a flag person, but my director probably wouldn't have let me be one anyway.</p>
<p>I loooove guard--I hope I can instruct for a high school somewhere someday :)</p>
<p>I spin flag, rifle, and sabre but I love flag the most because it's so expressive and so much can be done with it. There are about 27 girls on my guard as of today--we might be getting a new girl who just moved here, though, any day now..</p>
<p>That's really cool. Most of the color guards I've seen just have flags and the twirlers. There might have been one band this year that switched between flags and rifles, but no sabres for sure. I always love watching a good core band.</p>
<p>My school's band is very military. If my director really had a choice I'm sure he wouldn't even have a majorette line (at football games they mostly just shake their bums at the end of the drill since only one is actually good at tricks). </p>
<p>Oh well...no more marching band for me. It's so weird not having that feeling of impending doom as August nears, lol. Marching practice sucks in Texas.</p>
