If you are a Bangladeshi, then come on and speak up. Where are you applying? Did you get admitted anywhere? If you are already in college then what's life like?

Aren't people from Bangladesh called Bengalis?

But then Indian Bengalis would come and flood this thread(:D)

I've never heard that sort of use of 'Bengalis'.

Of course, I live in the South, so I could be woefully underinformed.

I am from Bangladesh, and I already got into Williams and Wellesley. Wellesley gave me $43000 as scholarship money. I feel really lucky.
:D what abt you aktiv8d?

Lo! I'm into Lafayette for a civil engineering-math double major with a 41,630 usd financial aid package..mangoluverin i feel the same way...so wat about the rest of us here...

ps. ive been waitlisted at bryn mawr, vassar and colby...do you lot think its likely that i will be offered admission in may?

I am from Bangladesh also but am currently based in the US. Got into Penn ED for engineering.
I went to elementary school (sunnydale) in Bangladesh btw. so I may know some of you :)

Great job mangoluverin, aranya and sristi. Congratulations!! I wasn't so luck this time around. I applied to 6 schools. I got rejected from 5 of them. I got waitlisted from Bucknell even after I got a letter saying that I was in the top 5% of the applicant pool. I think Lafayette has picked up quite a few students this year from Bangladesh, so I guess aranya will have some company
