Bank Of America Student Leaders 2012

To optix3:
I had an interview with the Atlanta market representatives. My interviewer informed me that the ones contacted for interviews were semi-finalists. And they will inform us in May. Hope that helped.

I’m from the NJ Market and I called BOA today, they told me that we will find out on May 15th through mail and there are no interviews for us. Yeah its a long wait x__x congrats to those who got in though- and good luck to everyone else :)

@guardfever: How did you call them? I used the 1-800 number on the site and they told me they were only open Monday-Friday…Also, does anybody know if there’s a way to figure out what market I’m from? I live pretty much dead in between two markets so idk which one to call to figure out when I’ll be hearing of my decision…

Also did anybody that got accepted get a call from a 484 number by the name of “Daryl”…I just realized I got a missed call from said number on April 5th but idk if it has to do with BofA…

anyone know the date results come out for philadelphia market? so anxious…

can people who got accepted already post their stats?

For those of y’all who got accepted, did they only call you? and was the call to your home or your cell?

There aren’t really stats to share. Being selected has nothing to do with stats, anyways… it’s about what they saw in us and who we are, based on what we portrayed in our essays.

To nellyata123,

I figured it was more than what they actually told me… Anyway, congrats on being a semi-finalist!

@youwrotethis

Seattle market doesn’t have any interviews. But I’m not sure what happens if you submitted late -assuming you meant you submitted past deadline…

If a late submission does not matter as in many other cool and prestigious summer programs, then you’re still in the game -a long waiting game I’d say…

@Somewhere2017

It really depends on the caller, but what I’ve heard is that the BofA employees who call the chosen ones tend to leave a voicemail. But I’m not sure if it is the rule, so I wish the best of your luck! I am so anxious that I’m lately picking up calls from all random numbers I previously dismissed as ads or other ridiculous calls just out of the hope that it might be BofA -guess you’re the same…

I got a call to my cell phone. I am from Tampabay area, FL. It is 35 hours/week for 8 weeks,
from 6/11 ~ 8/3.

@bartonsprings

I am also from the Austin market-

I got my acceptance notification this week!

Hey did anyone get a notice from Broward County? I see that Tampa already gave out notifications but so far has anyone heard back from Broward?

@BetaFish

When did you get the call?

@betafish: I’m accepted from the Tampa market too!! Are you doing the performing arts center or the boys and girls club??

@broward: the lady first called me on Thursday, I didn’t answer cause I wasn’t available, planned to call her back Friday (no school) and by the time I woke up at 10 she had called again and emailed me telling me she really needed to talk to me about the program lol.

@SeekingUni:

Oh wow that’s awesome :slight_smile: Congratulations! I’ve been reading the thread and I haven’t seen anyone from Broward so maybe they didn’t get to our area yet? It’s strange because you would think BoA would notify all the counties in one state at the same time…I don’t think Orlando has heard back yet either.

And btw, did you get an interview? I feel like no one from Florida had interviews.

Decisions are out by the 15th, right? Cause that’s in like 5 days.

goodness what is with these people, they procrastinate more than most of the kids at my school

@Broward: what happens in the Tampa market (or any market for that matter) is entirely independent of other markets. Each market selects its finalists via a committee consisting of a couple of BoA employees in that market and a panel of members from the community. At least that’s how Tampa does it. So the dates we and other Florida markets hear back won’t have anything to do with when you’ll hear in Broward as each market does its own thing.
