<p>Has anyone heard anything from the Long Island market? I would LOVE to be in this program. I logged over 600 hours of community service projects that I led (including my Gold Award project) so I hope that helps! This program sounds amazing because you can really learn about which service activities others are involved in and various community issues that you may have never thought of before! Plus learning leadership skills from everyone sounds great!

<p>@detpeace I dont know how to feel because I dont know whether I received a call or not; my phone’s line was suspended for the past week because I thought I lost it (what a great time to lose my phone, right). All I could do now is hope that I receive that letter! I’ll be sure to let you know, though.</p>
<p>@frake53 Aw, man. What about a home phone? I remember in last year’s post, someone was chosen but they didn’t have a phone, so they were contacted by email. </p>
<p>I don’t know if you know already or if you want to be surprised, but last summer, I was working at the same nonprofit the Student Leaders work for (I was an intern for a different program). If you like, I could tell you what nonprofit it is and what it was like. Just PM me. :)</p>

<p>@chrelihic I wouldn’t worry too much, especially if on the website they said decisions would be done by end of April. It seems like only the Florida markets are getting calls for some reason, and I’m sure there’s a reasonable explanation. </p>
<p>You still have one month, so I’d try to focus on something else for the time being. :)</p>
<p>I don’t think all the Florida markets have been notified yet. Just the Broward/Ft Lauderdale market for some reason. There’s still time. I wish we all found out at the same time but I’m sure the selection process varies by market. I have my fingers crossed, good luck to you all. </p>
<p>@detpeace I dont recall putting a secondary phone. I think I should start worrying now, since I didn’t get an email. I’d prefer to it be a surprise though, assuming I get accepted. Ill ask you about it if I don’t.</p>

<p>Have any other markets find out anything? Past threads have said that BoA usually calls accepted people during the first 2 weeks of April </p>
<p>^Well unless all the markets suddenly contact everyone within a week, I think they’re going to keep calling people until the end of April (which is what the website says, anyways)</p>
