Bank of America Student Leaders

Can’t believe this site exists! Wish I’d found it before, when I was in absolute agony waiting to find out, but just saw this group, and got the link to the facebook page!!

I got accepted for the #London market about a week and a half ago. Now trying to piece together all the info that has been sent out etc

@londonboa hey! London market!!

@futurejournalist - what did you mean by ‘stats’?

also, does anyone have any idea about the size of this project; ie how many applicants? I know it differs from year to year…

hello :)

has anyone heard from the san diego market?

I just got a call yesterday that I was accepted into the San Diego branch. I’m so excited!

anything from sacramento??

Officially rejected from the Delaware market. I guess they send out rejections in waves?

They only have five days left and I still haven’t heard anything. Does this mean definite rejection?

I have not heard anything back either. Anyone get rejected/accepted from the silicon valley region?

@ star_dr
I’m in Silicon Valley, and I haven’t heard anything yet! I don’t think I got accepted though. SV is crazy competitive…

@micahbobicah unfortunately most markets have already identified and notified those selected. I think I read somewhere (may have been on the facebook group) that someone called up the HQ and was told that everyone would be notified by this week. Although, I suppose that’s kind of obvious, as the notification date was May 22nd anyway.

alrighty… thanks wishonacupcake! I was thinking maybe it got lost in the mail or something. But wow. I didn’t think this program would be that competitive!

Um… They were supposed to notify yes or no by yesterday. And I still haven’t heard anything. I guess I’ll call tomorrow but that just seems so unprofessional of them. I need to get my summer together and if it’s no, I want to be able to move on.

Everyone needs to understand that its not about experiences, leadership, or the amount of community service its about how you can sell your story through the responses and how good your 1-2 recommendations represent your statements. Someone can get into this program without doing over 100 hours of community service, its unfortunate that it doesnt go to the “qualified” applicants

heyy… its almost monday and i still haven’t heard anything… trying to keep positive but you know how it is… anyone else from the jersey market hear something!!! thanks

congrats everyone who got in!!! =]

For anyone who wasn’t already notified/hasn’t already found out - someone posted on the fb page (my source of info lol) that all the winners from the NJ market were notified already. BUT over 500 applied, if that’s any consolation… ?

Sorry to those who didn’t get on this year.

Is anyone still on CC and would like to share their experiences at the program?
I’m thinking of applying for summer 2011 and it would be great to hear what it was like and what some of you got to do
Thanks!

yeah what is this thing? it seems interesting.

Hey everyone, I’m really sorry to drag up this thread. My question is: If I’m applying to, lets say Baltimore MD market, does that mean I have to live in Baltimore? Because I live in a suburb that is close by but no texactly in the city. Also, if accepted, would I have to drive to Baltimore every day? Thanks

I think its locally I believe. I think its a mere way to know which is your closest location. Like for example, mine is just New Jersey.

If you’re not legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship (U.S. Markets) should you just not apply at all?? I mean they ask you in the beginning of the application if you can or can’t and if you put no it still goes on…Does that mean they’ll still consider you or should you just forget about the whole internship?
