@Beyene15 Hi :-h . I am currently a junior in Georgia and I want to apply for the program. I was hoping you could answer my questions if you don’t mind. When applying , it asks for an organization and I have three choices listed,( 2014 student leader, 2015 student leader , and my school ) , which one do I choose?
@beyene15 , did you already have a certain type of nonprofit in mind when you applied (like Habitat for Humanity)? I’m afraid that what I want to do is too specific and will decrease my chances if there aren’t nonprofits that fit what I seem to want. Thanks so much for helping us! 
@Beyene15 Around what date does the program start and end? And student’s attend the program from home right?
When do they respond by on whether or not you got accepted or rejected?

@jjjj and @pandalover98 you find out around aprilish, and can start in May or when every you get out of school. Typically you end around august. It really depends though. Some kids go on vacations and what not. I left for about a week, you just need to be able to work for 8 weeks.
@gpawhore Not really, I mean I didn’t even know about my non profit until I started working there. On your application, just indicate how passionate your are about SOMETHING.
@Beyene15 What did you talk about about in your application and what district are you from? Also did you get an interview?

@Beyene15 Hi, do you happen to know if they are very strict on having a written signature for teacher recommendations? My teacher was unable to hand me a physical copy of my recommendation with a signature due to the snow, so she had to send it to me using a ‘font signature’ but left all the contact info necessary in the letter. Will this make my application invalid?
I know this is late, but does anyone know whether this is due on 1/31 or 2/2?
@Beyene15 When do you start working at the non-profit. I am hoping i can start in May because I work at a summer camp in July and August.
Also it says that you get paid. Is it 10 dollars a week or 10 dollars per hour.
And last question if you get to go to the Washington Summit how do you get there. Do they pay for a flight and hotel

Our counsellor will not give us the letter till this Monday Feb 2/2 … We found about the program only last week…

I have just spent my entire Saturday working on my application. When I was looking over the application I had thought it said 1,000 word maximum and did not realize they meant CHARACTERS** until after I wrote 6 long responses for each question…I hope the deadline is actually February 2nd now because I do not think I’ll be able to cut it down to 1/5 of what I currently have
@yellowboy i called them and they said 2/2 i turned to send it on 1/31 to be safe but i didn’t get my recommendation letter till today

I submitted my app and it says that we’ll be notified by April 30th if we were accepted or not. What market are you guys from? I’m from the DC market.
@Beyene15 : Do rising seniors have an equal chance of getting in as rising college freshman or do they give preference of one over the other? Were there lots of rising seniors in your BOA program?
