I dont remember what banks are on campus but what do u guys think freshman should do, like should i start another bank account at home? or should i wait till i get to school? or does it not matter, like what banks actually have offices and ATMs on campus?
thanks

There's a Bank of America on campus. As for what to do about staying with your current institution or not, I'm a transfer student and I never had a problem staying with my bank at home at my other school. But I suppose it's really up to your individual preferences.

damn that was quick, so is the bank of america the only bank that has an office on campus like where u can cash checks and what not?

That's correct.

I'm looking at the Parent's Handbook right now and it says that Bank of America (in the Mallinckrodt Center) provides a check-cashing facility for everyone affiliated with the campus and it has ATMS at Mallinckrodt and in Gregg Hall on the 40. There are cash dispensing machines at Umrath, the Village and West Campus. Also, according to the handbook, you can cash a personal check for $10 or less at the Campus Store with two forms of ID, including your WashU card.

If you're not a Bank Of America customer, they limit the amount of checks that you can cash, I believe. If you don't go with Bank Of America, make sure your current bank's ATM card won't be charged fees at the on campus ATMs.

aight thanks, im gonna go to bank of america where i live and start a new account
thanks for the help
