BannerWeb Showing New Info

Hi All,

I'm a freshman RD applicant to Smith, and a few days ago my Bannerweb account started showing more information, such as "Pay my bill & View e-bill" "Student Registration", etc. Did anyone else notice the same thing? Is this any indication of an acceptance?

Any input would be nice. :)

Thanks!

CLS

I had that since the very first day I got on BannerWeb.

Hi Adversa,

Thanks for your reply! Maybe I just didn’t notice it before. Did we always have access to the TouchNet payment gateway (full log-in capabilities showing account activity) and links such as “view financial aid award”?

Thanks!

CLS

Yeah, I’ve had all that the whole time too. Doesn’t mean anything. Sorry :)

Well, since I never thought of it as anything of importance, I didn’t go deep into the whole thing. So I couldn’t really say anything.

But I really believe that they would release the decisions first, and financial details last of all.

Besides, we’ll know the answer in a little bit more than a day’s time. Although I’m a bit skeptical about the outcome (I’ve seen people getting their acceptance/rejection letters ALREADY), I’m bracing myself and hoping for the best.

But don’t read too much into anything you see on BannerWeb untill you actually get that decision box/button/letter/whatever <3

/And, yes, I am in a full panic mode, too! XD <3/

On banner what is this Award status by year thing?? It says new info I never saw before… Like info as of 3/13/12. It says ‘expected enrollment’ unknown…status unknown & gives loan types - amounts in $$$$

Still waiting!

What you all are seeing are the options that enrolled students use when they use BannerWeb. It doesn’t mean anything for now, the Award Status and all the other sections will be blank until you’ve enrolled, even if you’re able to click on them. That they’re visible at all is just a quirk of the program.

BUT when you are an enrolled student, and you actually START at Smith, you’ll be able to do things with Bannerweb like check the status of your financial aid award, sign up for classes, and pay your tuition or view your tuition bills.

Don’t expect to get any clues from Bannerweb ahead of actual notification. But hang in there you’re almost there!
