<p>pat and melvin's on amsterdam between 110 and 109 is where i go. not flashy, but its cheap, easy, and they do a good job.</p>
<p>Do they do black hair? It's basically just a more horizontal form of shaving....</p>

<p>Most of the barber shops around are run by dominicans (i think the one mentioned above is actually a couple of haitians) so yea, they can do both types i'm fairly sure</p>
<p>I went (and still go to) Three Star Salon on Amsterdam bet 107/108. The gay dominican guy there knows how to cut hair, that much i'll give him.</p>
