Hello!
I am looking into transferring to Barnard for architecture and have a lot of questions. First, since their arch program is through Columbia, are my chances slimmer than if I were applying to Barnard for a different major? Also, how much emphasis is placed on high school transcripts and scores? I didn't 'figure out' high school until half way through my junior year. This significantly lowered my gpa, and while I got a 4.0 my senior year I still graduated with a 3.5. Not the best. My SAT scores are also pretty average. I pride myself on my work ethic now though, and have always been very involved (even in high school). Im also, 100% sure that architecture is what I want to pursue and am incredibly driven. I guess I'm wondering what my chances are. ANY additional information about Barnard and the transfer process would also be fantastic.
Thank you!

I was just accepted to Columbia for Architecture. I recently talked to an assistant in the department and she explained the program to some great detail. I’d recommend emailing the department or calling them directly.
