Hi hi! Barnard 2021 ED gal here. I’ve basically been having heart palpitations ever since I submitted my app, especially since I was perfecting (read: over-analyzing) my app until 9:00 on November 1st.
Also, to answers floating questions–yes, I did submit SAT IIs and I answered your transcript question on another thread!
Hey there! I’ve been so nervous, I sent mine in on Halloween I had so much trouble writing my HEOP essay and I think the rest of my supplements were great (special guest Beyonce made an appearance in one supplement LOL) I didn’t submit SAT II’s, because I don’t have another fee waiver but If i did I would of taken US History and English
Those are actually the two that I took! I think it’s really great that Barnard dropped the SATII requirements because I think the fact that they were required probably discouraged a lot of applicants. Best of luck, & Beyonce is always the answer
Not to scare you guys. But I actually heard that the ED rate was like 20% and the RD was like 8% or something, averaging to 16%.
- current first year
It’s still a bigger chance than 8%
@mayaic4 Thank you!
Does anyone know when decisions come out? I know it’s mid-December but not sure of the date! So nervous!
@bm23 December 15, I think.
On Connect Barnard, it says y Early Decision agreement is still missing. Do you guys know anything about that? Is that the agreement you and your parent had to sign on Common App for ED?
@figgie13 I guess it’s the guidance counselor’s ED agreement what’s missing. Check whether he/she submitted it via Common App or not. If he/she did, then it’s probably your parent’s agreement.
@mbp6320 thanks! I know my mom already submitted the parent’s agreement, so I didn’t know what else it could be
Are any of you guys applying through HEOP??
Hey, Banard ED applicant here. When did decisions come out last year? Does anyone know? No I’m not applying through HEOP, I don’t live in NY
Hey! I applied ED to Barnard. @Ruby99 I think December 15?
What’s HEOP
HEOP: Higher Education opportunity Program. It’s basically for low income students but NY who are academically disadvantaged.
Thanks @AnxiousHam . I can’t wait already I just want to know!
@daeneryssnow thanks! You’re in NY? I’m on the east coast too. Where from?
@Ruby789 same
@AnxiousHam I’m in Queens, New York!
I seen somebody online say decisions come out on the 12th
