Hi. I was looking into barnard website, and while I found other cultural organizations, I couldn’t find Korean student association. I was wondering if they are not listed? Or do they normally join in Columbia’s?

Generally clubs and cultural organizations are indeed Columbia University-wide groups, I believe.

Of at least if there is a Columbia group, you should be able to join in…

thank you! :)

Whether a club is listed at Barnard or at Columbia really depends more on which school they get money from - some clubs are recognized by both schools, some only by one. But it doesn’t matter; you’re welcome to join anything. During orientation week, there will be separate little club fairs for each category - one for publications, one for performing arts groups, one for cultural groups, etc. Then, a few weeks into the school year there will be a massive club fair on Columbia’s campus that EVERYBODY will take part in. So don’t worry, there will be plenty of opportunities to find whatever it is that you’re looking for (and plenty of things you aren’t!)
