I am an international student and got accepted into both schools
but i really cant make the choice!

My only issue with Barnard is that it is an all girls school, and I don't want majority of my friends to be female.

Anyone studying at or made the choice between these two schools? OPINIONS?

This to me says you have to go with Tufts.

Barnard does have a close association with Columbia, a co-ed school that also has a large course selection in case Barnard’s small size is limiting in that respect.

Have you asked about this in the Women’s Colleges sub-forum or in the Barnard forum? Try that to get expert advice about the situation.

I’d 100% recommend Tufts. I had an incredible experience there, and it’s a place where many international students thrive. Also, pretty hard to go to an all-girls school if you’d rather have guy friends! Tufts is 50-50, which would be much more up your alley!

Give us a bit more information about what you’re looking for, though. They’re both 2 of the best schools in the country, but there are some differences. Tufts has a beautiful suburban campus just outside Boston (a large city, but no New York), while Barnard is right in the hustle and bustle of NYC, with a less expansive campus. Tufts has diverse strengths in social sciences (political science, economics, international relations) and natural sciences/engineering. Barnard is more humanities-focused, in my experience. Both will provide a solid liberal arts experience, and I’m sure you’ll be happy wherever you end up.

Anyone have any idea about how the Urban Studies / Architectural Studies courses are at Tufts? Also, how many of the students are part of student organisations, because observing from their websites I feel like Tufts puts a lot of emphasis on these
