Hi, I’m currently applying to Barnard and I am a first-generation college student. I was just wondering if this program is competitive or simply a group for a minority. What are the acceptance rates and how many people apply? Thanks!
hey did you get an interview? i’m so scared to receive my decision in march
im interviewing on Wednesday, how did yours go/what did they ask you? I really want to get in!
me too! i think mine went really well, but i think the questions depend on your application and the person that’s interviewing you. the two questions that i think they are probably going to ask you are why barnard and to talk about your interest in science. lmk how it goes
I’m sorry this is a late response! I did have a Skype interview way back in November. I don’t remember much about it, just that there really wasn’t anything special about it. My interviewer was a young woman (in grad school maybe?) and she was very casual about it. She was on her couch in a sweatshirt. Honestly, she talked a lot longer than I did and would go off on tangents after I responded to her question. The questions were typical, why Barnard, why your major, what are your interests, etc. Nothing tricky. Hope this helps!
do you know how to see if you got into the program? i got into barnard, but it doesn’t say whether i’m in the program or not
Same, I can’t see if I got in or not. I’m assuming that means I didn’t get in and I’m gonna contact my admissions counselor on Monday to ask directly if I don’t get any other updates.
I think if you did not receive any notification, you should contact admissions directly. They will let you know.
i just got an email from them, i didn’t get into the program
I got waitlisted
