Hi guys! Possible transfer applicant for next year, I was wondering if it is mandatory to submit an ACT/ SAT score? I’ve never taken it and I don’t know if I’d be able to anytime soon during this time. Have their admissions been flexible with that? Should I eliminate this school from my list? Any insight would be great good luck
Scores are required. However I’m not sure how it will be in a year because many schools have become test optional due to the pandemic, but for this year for transfers scores were a required part of the application.
@ashpakks all of the transfer requirements are on their website under the transfer admissions page, so check there. If I remember correctly, you do need standardized test scores and there are no exceptions
Would we not hear this weekend? I’m sure if it’s rolling after May 1 we’ll start to hear starting Monday but would we not hear today or Sunday?
I don’t think they release decisions over the weekend!
The deadline was extended to April 20th so why are you assuming that decisions are finalized already?
The deadline was extended to April 1st? And it is stated on the website that decisions will start rolling after May 1st. @Yankeefan20
@Yankeefan20 I don’t think anyone assumed anything! I think people are anticipating decisions soon because it’s passed May 1 and also because rolling means they release decisions in waves, even though they might not have finalized all decisions.
I hope we hear tomorrow! I’m so nervous!
I literally can’t think of anything else since May 1st
Does anyone know for sure if Barnard is need-blind or need-aware for transfer applicants? I keep getting mixed answers.
it says need aware online
this is what it states on the website, “When considering transfer students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents, Barnard has limited funding available, and we consider financial need when reviewing admissions applications. Fall transfers are reviewed with an awareness that need may be a factor in a student’s ability to attend and are eligible for both Barnard College grant aid and for federal and state aid. Barnard does not offer institutional financial aid to Spring transfer students. Federal student loans and state aid are still available to students who qualify for them, but students who require additional aid to attend Barnard are encouraged to apply for admission for the Fall term instead. For those transfers who are admitted with financial need, Barnard remains committed to meeting full demonstrated need in our financial aid packaging.”
Thank you!
Does any brave soul want to volunteer as tribute and email admissions to know when decisions will be coming out? I just want to plan ahead for my rejection
anyone think we will hear today?
I really hope so
im not sure about today but i’m confident it’ll happen this week!
Good luck everyone!
Good luck girls! Let us know if you hear anything:)
