So…I’ve been admitted to both Barnard and Wellesley, and their open campus overlaps.
Barnard: April 21,22,23
Wellesley: April 22,23,24

Both schools are providing financial assistance for the open campus, and I’m really stuck between two choices, so visiting both campuses is really important for me. They both told me to buy the ticket, and later they will reimburse. So if I were to go to Barnard open campus on 21,22 and Wellesley on 23,24, how should I report it to the travel agent?

I live in WA. Can I tell Barnard office the situation, and if I were to buy the ticket from WA to NY (April 21 arrival) and NY to WA(April 24 departure), and buy the ticket from NY to MA (April 23 arrival) and MA to NY (April 24 departure) Would that work? I plan to call the travel agent at both schools tomorrow, but any advice will be appreciated!!! Thanks

Yes, feel free to be open with the two schools. They know many students are in this position. It’s nothing to be embarrassed about.

When my son was looking at Williams and Amherst when we left the info session at Amherst they gave us directions to Williams with a twinkle in their eye. They knew Williams’ weekend was the same as theirs and most of the folks were moving on.

Hey! I am in the same situation, but instead of going on April 21-23 I am going on April 15 and 16. I think you should consider this. Oh and I will also be at Wellesley on April 22.

That seems complicated to me --you might consider asking the schools if they would work with you for a 3-way booking-- that is, WA to NY, NY to Boston, and then Boston back to WA. There’s no particular reason for you to return to NY from Boston. Depending on routing, you might even save each college some money – I don’t know where you are in WA, but a round trip ticket to either city from Seattle at least $300, whereas depending on routing you can do a 3-way for under $550. (You can just do a “multi city” search on Kayak or another web site to see your options)
