BARNARD, WELLESLEY, SMITH, AND MOUNT HOLYOKE CHANCES

Hi! I am a female, 16 year old Junior from Connecticut. I am very interested in applying to all of the above women’s colleges, and I am posting to see what the masses think of my current credentials/chances of admission! I may apply ED to one of these schools… Thanks!

ACADEMIC:
-National German Awards (3 yrs)
-Academic Achievement Awards in German (2 yrs)
-Honor/High Honor Roll Student (Every Quarter)
-I will graduate HS with 6 APs (English Lang & Comp, APUSH, Statistics, German, English Lit, and Gov/Pol)
-My GPA has been on a major upward trend… I started out Freshman year with ~3.6 UW and have recently gotten 3.9-4.1 GPAs. That said, I’d call my GPA a 3.9 unweighted and somewhere between 4.3 and 4.5 weighted.
-SAT: 1900 (I will be taking this again!)
-ACT: 30, with an 11/12 on the Writing (I will be taking this again!)

EXTRA CURRICULAR:
-I put up a play I wrote myself at my high school with accompaniment, etc.
-Connecticut Drama Association (3rd Place in the State)
-Assistant Director of School Play
-Cast for the Musicals all 4 years (Leads in three shows)
-3 Plays (Leads in all three)
-Drama Club (Publicist- 1 year, President- 2 years)
-Choir President (2 yrs)
-Advanced Choir (Section Leader)
-All Female A Capella Group
-A Capella 8 Member (4 boys, 4 girls)
-Philosophy Club

COMMUNITY SERVICE:
-700 hours working at a Ranch Camp
-Presidential Service Awards (Youth Gold Award and Young Adult Gold Award-- 350+ Hours)
-11 Years of Girl Scouts (Silver Award)
-5 Years of National Charity League

WORK EXPERIENCE:
-I taught 7-11 year olds acting at a local community theatre

I think your stats are great! All of your theatre/performing extra curricular show how passionate you are and you seem like a competitive candidate for women’s schools. Just be sure to research the school and look into different colleges as well
