My d, a hs junior, is considering barnard, along with julliard. She’d like to take voice at J, and her hs teacher who attended J in the not too distant past says she has a very good shot at being accepted there. I know you have to be accepted by both bc and j to do this. What I’m wondering is, has anyone out there done this? How hard is it to juggle the 2 schools? How much a part of each school are you? Do you end up feeling in limbo not belonging to either, or do you feel at home in both schools? On paper, the mix of bc and j seems like the best of both worlds: excellent LAC and excellent conservatory. and with nyc thrown in for extra credit!

I don't know anything specific, except that it is very demanding, and not for the faint-hearted. Just one of those schools is demanding, but it can be very difficult to juggle the two interests.
