I can only pick one because I’m doing research this summer, but my partner is letting me “take a week off” since she’s going on vacation at some point. The BELL class would be the Sustainable Development one. I know it’s two weeks, but it’s so early in the summer that the first week probably wouldn’t be a big deal. So basically, from your experiences which is better? This is also assuming I get into both. Is one more competitive than the other? I know the Brown Precollege isn’t competitive AT ALL but I don’t know about their other programs or the Barnard one.

EDIT: If you’ve only been to one of the programs, your opinions are still appreciated :)

ahh idk why that posted twice >.<

D did summer programs at Brown and then attended Barnard. She would say: Providence or NYC? She adored her time at Barnard and merely appreciated her time at Brown.

However, I am sure others would feel differently.

Both cities have aspects that I love so ignoring the city like which program itself was better?

As i said, I can’t speak to that. Summer program at Brown, attended Barnard as an undergraduate.

I can’t speak of the programs, but I’ve researched a lot about Barnard and my sister goes to Brown. Just being on the Brown campus, your immersed in a culture of intelligent people who push themselves, but are’t at all snobby about it. Brown students tend to be competitive with themselves, so any class you take their will most definitley challenge you but the campus isn’t tense. Also, at Brown, they are definitley more open to letting you find your own way. Brown is super undergrad friendly and very chill, but the students are still very intense about their studies.
I have no previous experience with Barnard’s pre-College programs, but it’s a wonderful college with many opportunities at your fingertips. You’re in New York! Providence is by no means sleepy, but it’s near RISD so the whole city is very hipster, and “Urban Outfitter’s”- y. The campus is located on hill s so it’s the center of EVERYTHING…And you may meet Emma Watson (my sis lucked out and ended up in studio art with her last semester) , and it reminds me of Boston because there are college kids roaming everywhere. No doubt Brunonians love their school, and beware, if you visit, you’ll probably want to go. And the faculty is UH-mazing! It’s really cool
Hope this helps.
