Barron 2400 vs. the rest

I still cannot decide on which prep book to buy. There are just so many out there Oh help me someone!

Barron's SAT 2400 : Aiming for the Perfect Score sounds too good and am willing to work hard for it. I still have 4 months to make a difference. "The authors skip past obvious test-taking strategies, coaching students on the do’s and don’ts of smart test-taking, using focused and effective techniques. Their goal is to help top students score 700 or above on all three sections of the new SAT—Critical Reading, Writing, and Math." Yes it no practice tests But I have enrolled in the official SAT online course. And I have also ordered for the Blue Book. So thats enough practice. If i finish all of these then may be i will even do PR 11 tests.

Barron's How to Prepare for the SAT : 2006-2007 i have heard is also good but the problem with it is that it uses a different grading system for practiced tests. The most significant of these is that the sample tests don't exactly match the format of the actual SAT.

I have heard Kaplan sucks? I was thinking of buying Kaplan SAT, 2007 Edition: Premier Program but reviews tell me thats there are too many errors!!

And finally PR. Princeton Review's Cracking the SAT has the least amount of practice problems and the most number tricks and tips that aren't very useful. They have this assuring tone that makes people falsely believe that they know everything there is to know about the SAT (from a review.)

What is your opinion people??

well my scores before Princeton Review were 690 V 720 M and 700 W and on the last PSAT I took it was 740 V 800 M 770 W so that does help

word to the wise is to just ignore all their techniques, cus it's mostly bs. Just come up with what you feel comfortable doing on each section and don't do too many sets of questions, just concentrate on the concepts

Well from a pseudo-2300er and an actual 2130 scorer, just use the blue book and its problems. I must be repeating myself for the 35th time but since everyone is different I'm cool with that. The online course + blue book has 15 tests, so you can use these to your discretion....

use the bluebook, use the collegeboard online course "get a code from the school or look hard on the internet"

and Barrons 2400 is a good book. I have it and it is very challenging. Also get the Princeton reviews 11 practice tests if you can. ALong with barrons and kaplan's writing workshop books
