Barron's 2400 Critical Reading

What do you guys think of the Barron's critical reading strategy
The strategy Barron's calls for is to split up the passage however you feel comfortable and answer the questions pertaining to the part you just read.

My general strategy has been to read the passage first, so I can get it over with then answer the questions, but I thought I might try this out, because it makes CR a little easier (I suppose).
Do you think it takes more time than reading the passage once through and then answering the questions?

I've tried it out on 2 tests and I usually have around 1-3 minutes left over at the end of a section, but it feels more time consuming, possibly due to the fact that reading the rest of a passage at the 17 minute mark makes me feel like I'm working too slow.

I don't like their method.

It's sorta funny because those who get 700-800 scores are great readers and have no problem going through a passage all at once, and yet this book that markets itself as a 2400 book recommends breaking it down because it might be "too exhausting"

I just read the whole thing, and then answer the questions

same here. I actually tried their method and its probably great for people with either a short attention span or severe memory deficiency. Most og the times if you look back to the questions after reading one paragraph, the questions usually require some bit of information from the next paragraph, or has no relation whatsoever with the one you've just read.
