Barrons 2400: Worth the price of admission? (or denied admission)

Hi

I'm thinking about getting the Barrons 2400 prep book.

I don't have a lot of time for an additional SAT prep source (because of the blue book and such)

but

it seems to be highly regarded for the people like me who are in la-la land and think they can get a really high score.

Anyways... any reviews on the book? Can you give me an example of a high level "strategy" they used, because I've spent too long hearing process of elimination over and over again. Thanks

Hey Oracle, guess where you can go to read a review of Barrons SAT 2400?

I dont wanna pimp anybody's book, but give me more to go on, and I will try to give you a suitable reference.

Chris, do they pay you on how many times you can reference your website?

LMAO chris is getting paid, alright.

anyways,
i found the barrons 2400 to be useless for me, since my mistakes are all results of careless errors. but barrons goes over the material very nicely in an organized format. it's not that they provide new information; their organization is really good and they try to "reach" out to the reader.

examples from critical reading:
Critical Reading SEcret formula = read + react + interact + visualization
"2400 Club Strategies"
Read longer passages piece by piece
Extract the main idea from the passage
Answer line-reference and sidebar questions first
Delve into higher-order thinking quetions last
Identify the author's mood, tone, POV as you read
Narrow in on the best answer choice
Global questions should be answered at the very end

they continue to make these silly acronyms to help people memorize what they're supposed to do. there's a lot everywhere thorughout the book for WRITING, MATH, READ, etc. I guess it's useful?

I think it's a good overlook on what's on the SAT.

But that's just angie's silly opinion.
