Barron's ACT

I have the Barron's ACT book 2009, i heard its harder but is it still worth taking the practice test. I took the diagnostic test and got

E-25( on a different one had a 29)
M- 29
R- 32
S- 24.
I beleive my composite score is a 27.5, I used the chart from the ACT website since the book did not come with one. So I just wanted to know how these score's are good or bad. I'm aiming for 30+ and wanted any tips you could give me. Thanks.

A 28 on Barrons is pretty good. I got frustrated with the difficulty of Barrons so I never really used it that much. If you can do that well on Barrons you definitely have a good shot at 30+. I think when I took a Barrons practice test I got a 25 or 26 but got a 32 on the real thing.

I thought the book came with a curve chart though.
