Barrons ACT 36

^^ has anyone used it and was it helpful? Is there a book that is better? I got a 32 on my first ACT and would like to try and get a 34/35. Do you think this book would be good?

I personally wouldn’t use it unless I was out of practice tests because Barron’s isn’t a good approximation of what the test is actually like (it generally tends to be much more difficult).

I think your best option is the Real ACT, but if you have exhausted all of its tests/are looking for something more along the lines of a prep book, then Barron’s/PR should be fine.

I got a 33 my first time and I’m using Barron’s 36 along with ACT 1296 from PR to get 1 or 2 points higher. Both books seem pretty good. Barron’s explains everything well and the PR book has tons of problems for practice. Once I’ve completed both books (about halfway through each right now) I’ll probably get the Real ACT for final practice.

But yea, Barron’s is good, but you should probably get more than one book.

1finite, if you don’t mind me asking. How do you study both books at once? Are you reading through one book than testing what you learned in the other? I have two books and I was initially planning on finishing one before the other, but your way seems to kill two birds with one stone.

I’ve been doing this
