Barron's Books

I wanted to know whether the following Barron’s books are of any use or not, CONSIDERING im not taking any review courses.

Barron’s How to prepare for the SAT

Barron’s Math workbook for the new SAT

Barron’s Critican reading workbook for the new SAT

Barron’s Writing workbook for the new SAT

Barron’s SAT 2400

They're all great. If you can afford it, buy them all. If you can't and can only afford one, get Barron's How to Prepare for the SAT. I reccomend you supplement it (them) with the Blue Book, if you don't already have it.

Barrons 2400 has some good strategies. I bought it thinking it would give me some new ones, but unfortunately I basically already do them.

However I imagine it can be very helpful for some.

What if I get the rocket review, the grubers and the princeton review 11 practice tests instead?

ya better take PR or RR first because Barron's is much harder.

Check if they have them at the library. If not, try to check them at you local bookstore before buying the books. Buy them only if you can return because you'll find them lacking in many areas.

Reading the strategy sections won't hurt, but by all means, skip the included tests. None of the non-ETS are worth using.

Hey Xiggi, what is your reasoning in not practicing with Non-BB sections?

Is it not at all beneficial even for practice to drill on individual sections to gain a better grasp and understanding of the sections?

I'm just wondering because I am drilling for the SAT myself, and have been drilling with BB, Barrons, and Sparknotes, but is it really not benefial to practice with non-BB material?

Hoon thanks y'all! I got RR, PRb and Barron's 2400, along with CB.....THANKS!
