Barron's Critical Reading Workbook for the SAT

is it a good book? r the practice questions hard enough? i just got it and worked on the self assessment test and got 510 . but when i took the SAT in May i got only 410 in critical reading. did they make the self assessment test easy?

I just got the book a couple days ago, and personally, I didn't think it was easy. I thought the sentence completions were easy, but the passages were confusing. Unless you get really nervous or something, you'll do better on the real test than on Barron's tests.

I was just like you (i remember getting a 410 on a practice test before too) and I kept on doing practice tests over the course of a few months and ended up getting 560 on the may test. I'm currently shooting for 700 in October, that may be a stretch but it's definitely doable.

There is hope, don't give up.

Btw, I don't really like the barrons cr workbook as i've just begun using it. RocketReview is MUCH better for the tips ( i think thats what made me jump 150 points on CR from 410<-prac test to 560 <-1st attempt on real thing)
