I am taking all the practice tests in the CollegeBoard book. But, I also got the Barron's books for all three sections. Has anyone found the Barron's books to be very helpful? (especially for critical reading, since this is where I struggle the most)

I have that book for cr and it is pretty good in that you will get used to reading passages and answering it with a more keen mind. The sentence completions are pretty good too but more difficult than the actual test.

Thanks for the feedback. Also, have you found any tricks to efficiently answering the passage questions without taking up too much time? I tend to stay on a question for too long.

This works for sentence completion too, I guess, but I kind of answer the question in my mind before I even look at the answer choices. For example, if it asks the meaning of so-and-so word in Line 74, I’ll look at the line and make up a synonym, and then match it to an answer choice. It’s not just vocab, but applies to author’s intention/attitude, meaning of phrases, etc. Since you already have the answer in your head you don’t need to debate between two answer choices, therefore saving time.
