any opinions about the book? I'm planning to use this for my SAT preparation. I got 1900-2000 in a couple of practice SAT's (not PSAT) I did during my soph year, I'm aiming for a 2300+

I have it, but I think BB is better.

what’s BB??

Blue Book

is the barron 2400 better than the kaplan 2400? or is it the other way around?

Why not buy the official book (aka Blue Book): [Amazon.com: The Official SAT Study Guide, 2nd edition (9780874478525): The College Board: Books](http://www.amazon.com/Official-SAT-Study-Guide-2nd/dp/0874478529/ref=pd_cp_b_0) ?

If I were you, I’d buy one test prep company so you can learn all the content, and the BB so you have practice tests.

the test prep companies don’t have 100% accurate tests. (Especially barrons, they maek things 10x harder. I don’t like learning things that are harder than what’s going to be on the test. Maybe that type of learning suits you).

Use BB for practice - other books for strategy

1) BB sucks.
2) Barron’s 2400 is really like Barron’s arbitrarily cutting out parts of the big Barron’s book.
3) Princeton Review ftw.

Barron’s 2400 is useful for strategy tips, but don’t rely on it as a means of determining your strengths and weaknesses, as the drills are far harder than the actual SAT. The Blue Book will offer much more accurate practice tests. It can’t hurt to use both.

It has a nice CR long-passage strategy. It’s not useful for much else.

Barrons 2400 is good for CR as well as writing.
I went from 550-600 in CR and writing to about 700-750 in about a month and 3-4 practice tests.
