Bars

How are the bars in college park? Do they tolerate fake ID's?

Let's say you leave the bar at 4 am, you have no idea where your friends are, you're completely tanked, it's dark, and it's college park, so you're scared. If you call the police escort number, would they do something cheap like write you up for being drunk in public or are they cool with that?

If you need a ride at night, go with Night Ride. Do yourself a favor though and don't get that stupid drunk without friends.

Bentleys and Cornerstone don't care about Fake IDs. Don't even try at Santa Fe though. No idea when Lupos is going to open up again.

What about Terrapin Station and EJ's Landing?

Would you feel left out at the college park bars if you're not in a fraternity?

My cousin goes to Maryland and he's not in a fraternity...there are so many people at UMCP that you totally don't need the Greek system to have people to hang with. Why would you feel left out at a bar? It's not like you'd go there alone, would you? Make some friends elsewhere and then go hang with them. ;-)

jamcp-- the only bars within reasonable walking distance of school are bentley's, cornerstone, the fe, and lupos (now thirsty turtle).

and no, there are a decent amount of non-greeks that hang out at the bars, especially cornerstone. but yeah, nobody goes to the bar alone, so it doesn't matter who else is there as long as you're having fun with your group of friends.

Something a little unrelated to the bar scene.

Even if you're not interested in Greek life, look out for the parties coming up this weekend and going into next Mon night.
