<p>I am thinking about applying to Baruch College or Brooklyn College for journalism. Any opinions on either of these schools for this program? Or these schools in general? I have already applied to NYU and Emerson Ed and EA. Applying to Syracuse University, and probably a few others. Stats: my rank is 53 out of 610...gpa is a 4.0.. have taken all honors/ap courses... editor in chief of my high school newspaper.. good rec's, essay... lots of ec's. I really want to be in NYC. I need help deciding! Ugh!</p>

<p>CUNY Hunter is actually better for English/journalism types of majors, as far as the CUNY schools go. I'm not sure if it's in the area of the city you'd want to be, but I guess it's worth looking into. Also, if you went to Baruch/Brooklyn/Hunter, you should apply for the Macaulay Honors Program if you're not already. It gives free tuition, dorms, a free laptop and discounts on city events.</p>
<p>Does anyone have recent feedback to share on this major at Baruch? Looks like Hunter does not offer this major. Also, is it reasonable to expect that a room in the Baruch dorm can be secured if willing to pay for it? Thanks in advance!</p>
