% based on location

does anyone know the breakdown of where admitted students come from? i am specifically interested in the % of North Eastern ppl. i'm from long island, ny and my guess is maybe 50 new yorkers get in and maybe 20 actually go. i may be wayyyy off but it seems reasonable right?

I know that Notre dame accepts about 45 kids from arizona

Straight from ND's admissions website.
37% from Midwest
24% from Northeast
12% from Southeast
12% from Southwest
11% from West
4% International

12% from Southwest

"should I feel good or bad about this?"

i really don't think they look at location too much in admissions. i would think that larger percents just indicate more applicants from those areas. i wouldn't worry chillin.

ya ihaterunning, Thats what I was thinking

I'm from Boston. I got into Notre Dame while some top schools in New England rejected me. I've met plenty of kids from my area at ND and I saw plenty of Red Sox gear even when they were losing. ND has no grudge against the Northeast, although I wish I could offer more than just anecdotal evidence.
