I was just wondering what exactly is it that the cadre and staff for basic training expect from us. None of us are or will be perfect. For example, we won’t always be able to do as many push-ups as they expect us do during beat sessions or hold the front leaning rest position as long as they can. we may not be able run as long and as fast as they do, or quote knowledge right off the tip of our tongues. In cases such as this what are we supposed to do when they are yelling at us or punishing our entire flight for our weakness.

Suck it up

i think it'd be a good thing to just do your best. from what i hear, everyone breaks eventually. dont give up, help out your teammates, and don't refuse help. but dont be a slacker and end up not pulling your own weight...

Never quit. You do the absolute best you can, with what you have. Find creative ways to support yourself and your classmates.

Effort. They'll always be looking to see whether you're giving it everything you've got. They want to see that you're looking after your classmates. They want to see you stick with it even when things get tough. Keep going. Always keep those legs driving forward. Push yourself past what you thought you could do. The great thing about BCT is that you'll do just that, and accomplishment is an amazing feeling.

HNeedle has it... TEAMWORK. It's all about becoming a team. Beat sessions will be much more doable once you all learn how to help each other. Everyone has their strengths. If you don't know your knowledge, then your teammates better be screaming it out that much louder to cover for you. If you can't do flutter kicks or pushups anymore... well then find a way to work together with your classmates to keep going. You will figure it out. It takes time, but eventually you will know exactly what I'm talking about, when your squad learns to work together as a team rather than a group of individuals. NEVER give up. You will do just fine as long as you stay positive and give it your all! :)
